A sincere thank you to Kamstrup Water Metering LLC (Cumming, GA) for the gracious invitation to their Water Meter Boot Camp (October 2025)!
And — perhaps most importantly — it was so great to shake hands and meet face-to-face with so many terrific water industry professionals — many of whom I had previously spoken with on the phone or via video conference countless times, but never in-person!
During a 2-hour class at Kamstrup’s Factory/Headquarters in Cumming GA, and with the aid of our newly-constructed water meter / instrumentation training rig, I led a group of water industry professionals through a hands-on training session — where each learned how to connect running Kamstrup FlowIQ ultrasonic water meters to various SCADAmetrics instruments, including the Signalizer, EtherMeter, and TheMeterDisplay.
The professionals thereby learned how to generate 4-20 milliamp, Pulse, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP signals from Kamstrup meters for SCADA and BMS connectivity.
They also learned how to use the Pulse Encodalizer to connect non-standard flow meters to a Kamstrup AMI system.
It was a very productive day! …and it was a privilege to see all my old & new friends from Kamstrup and their distributors in attendance!
