A heartfelt thank you to Neptune Technology Group (Tallassee, GA) for the gracious invitation to their Neptune Connect Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona (August 2025)!
And — perhaps most importantly — it was so great to shake hands and meet face-to-face with so many terrific water industry professionals — many of whom I had previously spoken with on the phone or via video conference countless times, but never in-person!
It was our honor to contribute as a Gold Sponsor for this distinguished conference, and it was a pleasure to lead a pair of hands-on training and informational sessions for Neptune sales representatives, distributors, and customers.
With the aid of our newly-constructed water meter / instrumentation training rig, I led a group of water industry professionals through two hands-on training sessions — where each learned how to connect running Neptune water meters to various SCADAmetrics instruments, including the Signalizer, EtherMeter, and TheMeterDisplay.
The professionals thereby learned how to generate 4-20 milliamp, Pulse, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP signals from Neptune meters for SCADA and BMS connectivity.
They also learned how to use the Pulse Encodalizer to connect non-standard flow meters to a Neptune360 AMI system.
It was a very productive day! …and it was a privilege to see all my old & new friends from Neptune, their distributors, and of course the many customers in attendance!
