Insertion-type magmeters may be installed via hot-tap, which precludes the need to shut down, empty, or cut the pipe. Such technology can provide most economical installations for flow metering within medium and large pipe diameters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Torpee Mag features traditional 4-20 milliamp and pulse SCADA signals, as well as the Modbus\/RTU fieldbus protocol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like most mains-powered magnetic flow meters, the Torpee Mag does not offer native AMI\/AMR-compatibility.
