The ELINX<\/strong>\u00a0features an internal microprocessor, transmits a high-resolution 8-digit consumption message, and is internally-powered with a 20-year battery.\u00a0 Also, the ELINX<\/strong> is also offered in the form of a mechanical “odometer”-type version, the ACCULINX<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When connected to a SCADAmetrics EtherMeter<\/strong>, the high-resolution allows the user to collect realtime rate-of-flow information and also helps with leak detection algorithms.\u00a0 And, as with all encoder-type registers, it allows for revenue-grade-accurate totalization.\u00a0 However, it is important to note that the ELINX<\/strong> and ACCULINX<\/strong> may also\u00a0be ordered with the option to transmit less than the maximum number of digits.\u00a0 Therefore,\u00a0when ordering\u00a0an ELINX<\/strong> or ACCULINX<\/strong> register from Master Meter, it is important to specify that the\u00a0register be pre-programmed to transmit ALL<\/em><\/span> available digits!<\/p>\n

The ELINX<\/strong> and ACCULINX<\/strong> family of registers is compatible with Master Meter’s Turbo and Positive Displacement meters.<\/p>\n

Also\u00a0\u2014 and this is a very important development<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0\u2014 the ELINX<\/strong> can be installed as a third-party replacement register<\/strong> for many OTHER<\/strong> makes\/models of water meter!<\/p>\n

For example, Elster-AMCO\/Kent<\/strong>, Neptune<\/strong>, Badger<\/strong>, Sensus<\/strong>, Hersey\/Mueller<\/strong>, and Precision<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Notable on that list is Elster-AMCO<\/strong>, who no longer manufactures parts or registers for their commercial turbo meters or residential positive-displacement meters.\u00a0 The ELINX can therefore be used to retrofit these meters with modern, absolute-encoder-type registers.<\/p>\n
